29 June-4 July 1944

• 05.00 call to move to Southampton - arrived 15.00.

• 3 July 1944 arrived at Utah Beach, 02.00 (took 19 hours after convoy was formed).  "Morale excellent; weather sultry"

5 July - 8 August 1944

• Not able to go to planned base: "bivouaced in orchard c 2 miles from Cherbourg..... Depot 0-101."  They took over a Peugeot Garage - job to salvage armament and vehicle equipment.

9 August -18 August 1944

• bivouaced at planned base La Haye des Puits.

• constructed a mobile frame  rack for straightening the frames of wrecked vehicles and also erected a portable shower for personnel.
