• April: moved to "open field Depot  0-618 and the troops moved into 'Pup Tents'  It as the first time for many to live in gtents and sleep on the ground.  Weather fair".

• "On 6 June 1944 at 08.45 hours the news that we had long awaited came over the radio"..... "When do we go?"

• "Every man fully realised the mission of this unit: "Keep 'em rolling".
