after leaving harbor discovered that vessel was Queen Mary.
"This trip was the roughest the Queen Mary had ever made..... came to within 5 degrees of turning over". (See 326th History as this Company shared the voyage)
docked near Glasgow on 14 December
boarded train on 15th at 15.30 hours and, "after a 12 and a half hour train ride, everyone unloaded the next morning at 04.30 hours, 16th at Ashchurch, England,U.S. General Depot, G-25. This was the first touch of the English blackout". Taken by truck to camp and then quartered in a hangar.
