• 8 May 1945 VE Day

• June 1945 onwards mass transfers to let men with highest point scores by demobilised first.

• 23 September 1945:  back to USA on Queen Mary (15,714 on board - 4 days 20 hours).

• 21 December 1945: "inactivated" Camp Henry, Virginia.
